Welling School has a stunning on-site sports ground which includes a newly built (2017) 4-G pitch, hard court and expansive school field.
Science Block
The fully equipped Science block houses several laboratories and classrooms used for teaching biology, chemistry and physics.

Gallery
Welling has a history of excellence within the Visual Arts and was designated a Specialist Visual Arts College in 2002. The school’s unique forward thinking curriculum is exemplified by the Visual Arts Specialism. Students benefit from a large and well-resourced Visual Arts faculty, where they can study a broad range of specialist disciplines including; drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design, photography, video, textiles and fashion design. Alongside purpose built art studios the school has a Gallery that regularly exhibits student work, travelling shows by famous artists and exciting one off projects. There are lots of opportunities for your child to take part in extracurricular activities including clubs and publications. The school also offers regular workshops in the Easter and Summer holidays and trips to galleries and museums around the UK and Europe.

Food Technology
The modern, high specification Food Technology classrooms ensure that all children can access this exciting and engaging area of the school curriculum. These spaces were fully upgraded in the summer of 2019.
Art Classroom
The Visual Arts play a pivotal role across the school’s curriculum. Art engages with a wide range of spiritual, moral, cultural and social studies. Art students analyse and question their own and others work, identify how beliefs, values and meanings are expressed and shared. We believe that an engagement with the independent and collaborative skills required to be a successful artist provide important transferable skills in an increasingly visually world.
Berwick Theatre
The Berwick Theatre is the school’s largest (of 3) Dance and Drama studios, which can host shows of up to 150 people.
Students can become involved in a range of creative clubs. Each year there are several music events including a Christmas and Summer Concert. Every other year, our creative arts students come together to put on a school production which is directed by the Drama department and conducted by the Music department. In the past, students have performed School of Rock, The Crucible, Hairspray, and Grease to name just a few.
Sports Hall
Our four court Sports Hall supports a variety of indoor sporting activities including basketball, volleyball, cricket, netball and football. Our Sports Hall is also a major centre for extended community use seven days a week.

In summary, an education is so much more than just good examination results. We aim to support and inspire all our learners, irrespective of ability, to be the best they can be in every single way. Learners at Welling School also benefit from outstanding facilities. In 2005, the school was rebuilt and the school continues to make improvements. This summer the practical food rooms were renovated. Our other excellent facilities include: specialist classrooms; sports hall; all-weather sports pitch; dance studio, drama studios, Apple Mac computer rooms, recording studio, art gallery, library and a designated 6th Form Centre.
I fully appreciate and understand that choosing the right school for your son or daughter is one of the most important decisions you will make but be assured that staff at Welling strive to provide an encompassing holistic approach to education.

IT Suite
Our state of the art ICT suites undergo a yearly lifecycle fresh. Each suite houses thirty computers with flat screen monitors ensuring all children in a class get full access to the technology on offer.
6th form Centre
The stunning purpose-built Sixth Form Centre is the ultimate space for Sixth Form students. The Centre boasts excellent facilities for both studying and for socialising,.
